There's a number of steps leading from the side of the road up to the cemetery dubbed the 1000 steps. No one is said to be able to make it to the top step due to overwhelming fear. This legendary spot is supposedly the site of satanic rituals.

The mark on the map is the closest to the 1000 Steps that we could locate. I can't be sure how accurate it is but we based the placement on reports from those who have been there and the terrain of the area. Hopefully someone who has been there can provide a more exact location for us.

This old wives tale of "ghosts" and "satanic rituals" have been going around since my mother was a kid in the 50's. None of that happened. Its just fabricated bologna to scare people. Its so dumb. I used to hang out here and party with friends, being a horrible teenager many, many years ago.
The scariest thing about this place is the nightwatchmen. They DO NOT eff around. They will straight up have you arrested for messing around at night. 4 of my friends were caught, the rest of us managed to escape. Parents tend to get a little upset when they have to pick up thier kids from Juvie for screwing around in a cemetery. This was back in the 80's but, I'm sure they are still as hardcore about it.

Theyar halfway between the 2 entrances and there ar two 3 foot cement walls that you can see from the road. We found it at 1am. The steps are quite a mess, but all four of us made it...and we are wussies! At the top there is a moseleum at the top. It is now a tool shed. The body was moved out YEARS ago to Sweden shortly after it was put there in 1928 (not 1913). There were a couple of guys up there trying, I will say again, tryng to do a tarot reading. Not well I may add. I don't do that and I knew more than they did.
So how do I know so much? The sheriff showed up! lol He was trying to be SUPER mean and scary!! We had a hard time not laughing. He pulled his gun on our friend and started sceaming profanities, mind you we are all in our 30's, ntellgent, upstanding citizens. None of us are thugs or gangbangers! So he lecured us FOREVER! He did find out we came up the stairs, which are not posted as No Tresspassng, therefore ...
